Coolant Message says 187 degrees

It will continue to display coolant temperature until you select a different function with the button on the steering wheel. Left side, third button down.

I display coolant temperature all the time, it's the one thing that can destroy your engine if you don't monitor it.

I don’t know that it was low in the first place. The temperature on the dic never went above 189 which is apparently normal and as I mentioned, the temperature gauge never went above about 1/4 notch below the halfway mark. I added antifreeze because it was getting really cold here last night. Cranked it up and drove it today and the temperature leveled out at 187 on the DIC. What I don’t understand is why the DIC is there. I’m going to take it to my mechanic after the holidays. Thanks for everyone who posted helpful replies and Merry Christmas to all.

The temperature is there because you pushed the right buttons in the right order. Information is in the Owner Manual.

See the buttons on the left side of your steering wheel, press the button third one down from the top. That will change the DIC screen.

RJ- I do the same, but only thru the cold weather..
