crappy side mirrors

having just got some really crappy weather here in good old oklahoma, lots of ice, and stuff, i noticed how the windows all get defrosted, but the side mirrors dont? whats up with that. i thought it was just what happened when you would turn on the defrost, it did in my grand prix anyways. just sucks when you cant see anything out of your side mirrors. and i'm afraid to try to scrape off the ice, dont want to break anything.. anyways anyone else have troubles with this?

Ice on your car Never had this before, thought ice was only found in the freezer.

And you call yourself a Steelers fan? :)

I second the heated side mirror theory. My last car had a cold weather package, and included rear mirror defrosters and windshield wiper deicers. They spoiled me for any car without.

The heated mirror theory is correct. When I lived up north, I put Rain-X on my mirrors to help the moisture slide off. It reduced the icing up. Two other solutions are covering the mirrors at night or moving down to Florida. I chose the latter and couldn't be happier.

I wish my HHR had them too. I had a 2000 Neon ES, paid 15,595 for it (was a 5 speed) It had heated mirrors. I cnat believe GM didnt out them on this HHR. I mean the wires alread go out to the mirror all they needed to do was add 2 more and a heating element.
