Crazy Automatic Door Locks

All my 2009 HHR automatic door locks have recently intermittently started to rapidly lock and unlock by themselves if the vehicle is already running. I have an automatic and I usually start with the remote start function. Recently the engine may start for a few seconds and then shut off and at that point the remote start function will no longer function or will the door locks function and the horn may or may not chirp until I manually unlock the doors and insert the key in order to reset the system. I am wondering if the RCDLR module might be at fault. I have look through the forums quite extensively and I do not see another issue quite like this one. Anyone have any ideas?

The most recent one was the fob was worn and sending signals when it shouldn't have been.

My first move would be to take the fob apart and check the battery cage for tight solder joints and the pad for dirt and cracks. Maybe use a small screwdriver to short the contacts, see if they react correctly.

I have been repairing GM remotes for years and I have a second remote that I have tried with the same results. Actually today I have tried too start the engine several times and each time the engine starts and runs for about five seconds and cuts off. The key fob then has no effect on any functions and I have to unlock the door and insert the key to stop the horn from chirping. This seems to be an unusual problem? Thanks.
