CV boots

First post, I have a 2008 HHR LT. Bought it 11/2014 and had a 60k service and go through this past week at a Chevy dealer. They said that all was good except the CV joint axle was shooting grease out during sharp turns. Their suggestion was to replace the whole thing $750, which I declined because I had heard on this site that there might be a problem with certain kinds of bushings.
Can you help me

CV joint boot on the drive axle can split and spout grease out as the axle spins, but this would have nothing to do with bumps and clunks, the 5 year power train warranty would be over back in 2013.
these axles are available rebuilt and are not the complicated to replace. do you have a mechanic you have had work on your car and you trust?

Rebuilt axles go for less than $90 Each. Labor probably 1hour.

No idea what bushing you might have heard about. None involved with the axle.
