Dead battery no warning/cancelled smog check
I have discovered that in the hot climate of Florida, car batteries seem to die suddenly. It has happened on three of my cars since moving to Florida and that was how the battery died on my HHR. I hooked up a battery charger just to get the car started to drive to get a new battery.
UPDATE: Drove to work and back putting a total of 165 miles on the HHR since the battery died Saturday. Went to Jiffy Lube to get the inspection done and it PASSED with flying colors. Thanks for all the info/inputs. Good for another year.
Glad to here you got it worked out.
Here in Ohio we can get our emission check at places like jiffy lube also but they can only read the computer info.
In your case we would have the option to go to a test center where they can run the car on a dyno to complete the testing.
