No wonder these idiots are going bankrupt.

I'll bet there is something loose inside the water jackets that gets lodged somewhere and blocks the flow of coolant. If coolant flows through the system the way it should the engine stays within operating temp, if not it overheats.

And why do they keep patching this POS up and handing it back to you? They should give you a loaner until you get your new car.

This is every new car buyer's nightmare. You should write a book... or at least an article on your experience.
Exactly.

Did they replace the radiator too? Hadn't the first replacement engine been a rebuild, as well?

nope.... no rebuild... new off of the assembly line, the last engine was slated for a 09 cobalt, which is why I had so many problems with it running rich, cobalt engines uses different injectors, this new engine was slated for a 2010 hhr... the radiator was replaced in corpus 1 week prior, the service tech even informed me that the GM rep with 3 master techs came to the dealer to check it out. He told me that when the rep insructed the master tech to take the head off it was done in 15 minutes... completly off... seems impressive but I have never had to remove a head off of a HHR so I'm not to sure.

Airbags are not explosive charges, they are inflatable life saving devices. If you don't like the idea of airbags perhaps a windshield wrapped around your face would suit you better.
