The wife left yesterday for a "girls only" 4 day weekend with her friends. Somehow I think I got scr----d on this deal.:clappy: JCJSS: Hope it's as simple as a fob battery and that operator error thing. |
JCJSS,
I am glad to know everything worked out once she returned home. If anything arises after changing the battery, please do not hesitate to reach out. Erica Tiffany (assisting Jessica) Chevrolet Customer Care |
Had 25 great days on the road and almost 7600 miles on my motorcycle trip. Ran into a total of 4 hours of rain and only about half of that was cause to slow down 10 mph or so.
So when I got home and caught up, I opened my wife's fob and the battery cage was not in place. Tried putting a little solder on it and it held but still didn't work even with a new battery. Ended up buying one of those $14 fob repair fixes on ebay. Mailed it away to a nice guy and he reported to me after doing his thing, but before mailing it back to me, that the fob worked fine now. Great news. Received the fob and it wouldn't work. He and I exchanged cordial emails and tried different things but no luck. He issued me a full refund. Guess the next step is to purchase a new fob and have the dealer program it. |
Did you go to the local auto parts store and test the fob? The usually have a fob test station right at the checkout counter. That would narrow down where the problem is.
