Dome light

Anyone have their rear dome light break? My switch just slides without turning on the light. My dealer has ordered me one, but I was wondering if mine is the first to go.

It just happened to my wifes last night!

When I had mine pulled to paint, it was obvious that the switch was really cheap. I'm going to try to pull my wife's and see it I can get it back in its tracks before I waste a day at the dealer just for them to tell me they have to order the part.

Mine bit the big one about a month ago.

So they have to replace the entire dome light?

Sheesh.

Had mine replaced under warranty. They are cheap. just leave the setting in the middle and never touch it.

WHAT!!!

So the suggestion is NOT to touch the dome light switch on a NEW CAR!!!

As much as I love the HHR, I am starting to question the GM quality in this vehicle.

Had mine off to paint and fixed my wife's. The switch is surprisingly cheaply made, falls apart real easy.

I personally had never touched it before this. But I will admit I bought her used so who knows what abuse she suffered before I rescued her. I can't imagine dome light abuse is high on anyone's to do list though.
