doorlocks

Been reading the various problems w/doorlocks. Seem to only be an issue on drivers side. I think it appears to be a ground or 12volt signal problem. With mine, the locks on front and rear drivers side are very sluggish, but if activated several times they are quick and sharp. This kills the theory of the undersized door panel holes. What do you think???

1st Post! Welcome & enjoy the ride.

Don't think it is a ground issue... Mostly small holes in the panel-a ground issue would cause no locking action or a very delayed/intermittent action (not "sluggish")

I could be the hole is too small, or the power lock mechanism itself. My passenger rear lock assembly had to be replaced under warranty.

My driver side rear door doesn't always unlock with the others and requires a 2nd unlock command....and it started doing it after I removed/reinstalled the door panel. So I am going to re-remove the panel and look it over.

I've had my 08 for a month or so, and have noticed this with my driver's door - the lock requires sometimes multiple presses on the unlock button - and even when I use the key to unlock it, it is hard to turn, and somewhat "sluggish" or slow to move. Something I can fix myself or should I call the dealer?
