Got it fixed today, mechanic said thet he was able to push, pull on the door while pulling on handle and that it finally caught, and opened. $245.00 Part and labor later, and all is ok. I guess that he has the touch. Not sure if I buy the way he got it open, but I guess its possible. At least its working now. To the next 71k miles

It was the door latch/lock mechanism, part was $113, labor $118,and tax was the rest, its all one peice. Took it home to see what went wrong, I like to figure things out, tried to open it, but there are a couple of pins that are pressed to hold two plates together. I would hve to drill them off. Maybe when I get home, I will do it.

You're responding to a post, in a thread that's been dead for over 9 years. He was making a funny about the sunroof.

I know and I was commenting on that. if it was dead it was revived to show up. Am I not allowed to comment on anything other than what I post? the way I see it, if not the thread is dead should be deleted but it is saved for future reference or is it not allowed to be pulled up to seek answers? but Im just going to assume you didn't see my "lol" as I didn't see the date. I don't look at the dates I just read the subjectsbut if there are rules not to comment on old posts please by all means let me know its not allowed, thank you.

You are allowed to. You are also allowed to shout at the wind. Pretty much the same effect.

You may of course post your comments, RJ was just pointing out that the OP was 9 years old, and would not likely see your post.

Understood, just didn't realize it was old ( didn't look at the date ) apologies. But somehow as I scroll down my page there are "similar" posts and they just scroll into the current active ones, that is how that came up, a couple of threads have done this but didn't realize it at first ( until this one was commented on ) but still old or new, they are going to get commented on eventually ( seen some newbs do the same recently as well ) or it was the same situation and they were told it was an old post but it was a dead post as well...LOL hmmm We are in the Twilight Zone.
I think I was just tired last night, been fighting the pain for a few weeks now from spinal injuries and all this rain past few weeks.
