Driver's seat heating pads part number and source

I have a 2010 HHR LT1 and I want to fix the heat pads in the driver's seat. I am not sure what parts I need. I think there are 2 heating pads. But I don't know the part numbers or where to get them. I know I will need some hog ring pliers to get the seat cover off. Can someone help? Should I use OEM heating pads or are there decent aftermarket alternatives?

It looks like the back heating pad is part # 25972194 and the bottom heating pad is # 21994493, but I can't find the bottom pad anywhere online. It would also be nice not to spend $250 on them before labor.

What makes you think the heat elements are bad? Junk yard maybe.

The driver's side seat heater doesn't work, but the passenger side heater does work. I think they are on the same fuse, so I don't think it is the fuse. I suppose it could be the connection, but I have read that the elements in these heating pads often short/break.

to the forums!

I'm also seeing

HEATER. Front/Rear Seat Heater

Part Number: 21994364

Fits HHR (2006 - 2011)

HEATER,D/SEAT BK.

And for passenger side

Heater. Seat. ELEMENT.

Part Number: 22734070

PASSENGER SEAT. Seat heater pad. back. cushion. Pad. STRIKER.

Fits HHR (2006 - 2008)

HHR; Seat Back; Right. PASSENGER SEAT.

I'm seeing verbiage that seems to indicate that the lower element (seat) is the same part for both sides.

I would at least measure the resistance of the elements. Not really a problem with them shorting out they do go open.
Did the back and bottom both go out at the same time?

You could probably get a full seat at a junkyard for $100.

There are a lot of universal heaters on sale ... And they are very cheap.
China produces them by the ton.
