I bought an 06 chevy hhr in August 06. My problem is that every time the remote start is used the electronic door locks quit working. When you put it in park the doors do not unlock and when you put it in gear they do not lock like they are supposed to. I have had mine in the shop 3 times and it is going back to the shop next week with the same problem. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone have any suggestions?

 

Not being sarcastic.......go to another dealer. Apparently your current dealer does not know how to upgrade/upload the software.

 

Have you checked the settings on the DIC? There's an option for the door locks.

 

I dont mean to sound like a smarty pants but doesnt anybody read the instructions book that comes with the car when bought. Some of the questions are like HELLLLOOOOO !!! I know you are exited to jump in your car when you first take it home, but its just like anything you buy, dont you wanna know how it works, where is this and that? COME ON NOW PEOPLE!!!

HERE! HERE! auga; I think that it all can be solved with a little easy reading. Then you can tell the dealer how to you did the repair !!!! sounds like a DIC reset

 

Im having the same problem. Dealership not sure whats going on. Been in 2 times.
