Engine Power Reduced / Power Steering / Low Fuel / Service Airbag Message

Im at about 225,000 miles, just recently i started my car HHR Lt 2.2L Auto. the power steering and service airbag message shows, but when i press the gas pedal the engine power reduced message shows along with the cel and the car starts to shift hard. After driving a miles or so the low fuel message show then the car cuts off.

Is this a sign i should get a new vehicle, this is the first major problem i had since 23,000 miles.

Welcome to the site

First thing I would do is to get the codes read and have the battery tested.

I wouldn't wright the car off yet.

See bolded section above. That sounds like it may be contributing to it.

Also, as Lucky said get the codes read.

We cannot offer much other than blind advice without the codes.

Also look at the red wire connection to the Underhood fuse box and the ground on the radiator support. Not to mention the obvious tightness of the upper and lower fuse box halves connection.

Welcome to the site, follow these steps as posted and please post the code only IE.. P0000, as most times the AZ guy tells you his interpretation which could be wrong and cause a sore arm and shoulder fr throwing money at your car.

You have an electrical problem. Seems to be related to cylinder 1 & 4.

If you have looked at the fuse box connections. Now look at all of the engine wiring harness for chafing, burning, touching exhaust pipe or any sign of wear.
