Sounds like your electronic stability control is wigging out.

I googled Chevy ESC code and yeah, it's your electronic stability control coming on. One guy had this with his car and the culprit turned out to be the crank position sensor. I would be taking it to the dealer if you are still under warranty and would definitely not be driving it anywhere for pleasure. Good luck. Let us know what it turns out to be.

It's under warranty if your car is under 3yrs or 36K miles, or you extended the warranty. I don't think its part of the 5yr/100K powertrain limited warranty.

Dear tntwolt,

What is the model year of your HHR? What is the current mileage on your vehicle? Do you have an extended warranty?

In the owner's manual, you will also read to have the vehicle to the dealership to have this look at by the service department. There might be codes that they are able to pull from your vehicle to find out what is going on.

Dear tntwolt,

Thank you for the additional information. I would contact the company that you have the extended warranty from to verify what your extended warranty coverage is. I would then get your vehicle into the dealership for the ESC code.

Sincerely,
Michelle, Chevrolet Customer Service
