our 08 ls just recently cracked the exhaust flex jointbetween the cat and exhaust man. @95k is this covered by warranty? just called. my local dealer said not covered (emmisions?) not exhaust. now looking for alternative repair universal flex welded in or?

It's not a power train warranty. It's covered by emission warranty up to 80K.

 

Just put one on mine about a month ago. Tiny crack right at the accordian folds sure made a lot of noise.

I've seen the part for about $40 online if you wanted to do it yourself. I paid $130 for the part and to have it welded in at a local muffler shop.

Quiet is good.

Your local hardcore muffler shop should have the flex in stock. Usually they make up any size needed. Our local shop-American Muffler-does and I have sent many people to them.... Just sent my step fathers 98 V6 camry for the flex issue. They always seem to charge $100 for any flex repair. Well worth it.
