Exhaust fell apart!

Just got done replacing virtually every piece of my suspension, drove it around, enjoyed the new ride comfort, and then parked it. Went and got gas two days later and then parked it again. Got in it to go to work yesterday, and it sounded like somebody had stolen my catalytic converters. Got under it today to find that the flex end of the catalytic converter section somehow disconnected itself from the clamp that is supposed to hold it on. Has anybody else experienced this? I've already found the replacement part, just have to find a welder who can do it for a reasonable price, since I spent all my money on suspension parts. This was not an attempted cat theft, I have cameras facing it and checked the footage for the weekend.

Photographic evidence.

You need to replace it. Find bad mounts that allowed it to drop and replace them as well.

A very common failure. There are repair parts available; search ebay "hhr exhaust repair", There are many, I suggest you get one with the bend in it. You will need a welder.
A bad front motor mount is the typical cause. Check it by looking through the oblong hole in the passenger side front wheel well; if a bolt head is easily reachable the mount is good.

Thanks for this advice, I'll check that now. I've already got the replacement part coming from ZZP.

The ZZP part has the bend required for the 2.2 L61, LAP exhaust get that welded up and you’re good to go.
