Fan Blower Motor problem & another solution.....
Fan Blower Motor problem & another solution.....
Back during the winter the blower motor stopped working for two days, then came back on, it was fine until a few weeks ago and then stopped again. Researching the forum found lots of info about probable causes and solutions.
My problem is similar to another menber's being it was electrical at the BCM. The fuse block attached to the BCM was the problem, it turned out to be that the wire that controls the motor where it goes into the BCM needed to be repaired. The shop I took it to took apart the BCM and made the repair, saved me alot of $$$, since I do not have the extended warranty on the SS, and it's out of warranty with almost 55,000 miles after 2 years & a month and a half.
I did end up buying the resisitor, relay and a new fan motor. I am keeping the small parts, just in case, but will sell the Fan motor, if somene is interested, or just return it. So if anyone wants to buy, let me know......Tom
