When changing the air filter recently I noted after removing the assembly that some animal has eaten away most of the insulation of the barrier on the firewall.

The part # 15295321 isn't that expensive and on appearance it seemed as though it was only attached at the top by a couple of clips. It also appears to be molded.

Talked with the dealer today and the service guy thought that some lines from either the heater or AC had to be disconnected to get it on and that it was a difficult job.

Anyone out there have any experience with this.

I have no experience in replacing the insulation, but have had mice eat all of it on my firewall, too.
