Sorry, I should have thought of just switching the faceplates.

There is a suggestion in post #10. Another suggestion, have you tried a different cable?

And please don't double post, it leads to confusion. I'll delete your other.

Not a problem, David. I think most of us use the 'new post' button, so we'll see your post the first time. And yes, post 10 is on page 1 of this thread.

My phone and cable work with the radio in the Verizon store. So the problem is with the factory installed radio in my HHR. And I have not done anything to the radio. There's the rub.

"no longer works" implies that it used to work, correct?

The jack is very cheaply made. A new faceplate as detailed in the first part of this thread should work.

As it turns out, a brand new radio does not need to be programmed if it is the correct part number, but a used radio does.

A new radio queries the computer for the cars VIN then it stores it in memory.

I have the same issue with a 2011 HHR. Aux port not functioning. Been given quotes of $100+ to fix it. Can you explain to me how I could go about fixing it, as you have done??? Is it possible to purchase a new faceplate??? And I would definitely need to find someone who could do the soldering. Do you think this would be worth the savings or should I just fork out the money to a local fix-it shop??? In the meantime, we've been using a bluetooth device: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Anker-ROA...tter/675283692
Opinions, please!
