FYI on shifter knob

FYI on shifter knob

There is a torx ( T25 )head screw under the top of the knob. Wish I had known that 20 minutes ago

And you are gonna catch heck gettin' it off. To my understanding it's a press/wedge fit.....no threads. I would like another knob but with this car I decided not to go crazy. If it were screw off/ screw on, would have been replaced by now.

Once I found and removed the screw I was able to pull it off with little effort. I had probably lossened it by banging on it prior to finding the screw.
