P0455 code, no other codes. YES - I USED THE SEARCH FUNCTION. I am past the information available in the other threads.

Replaced:
-Fuel cap (twice). Once bargain basement, and again with OEM.
-Fuel lines (had the common rust issue)
-Canister Vent Valve
-Purge Solenoid (on engine)

All nylon lines and connectors look to be in good shape. I thoroughly inspected them upon replacing the fuel/evap lines.

Could the Canister have some sort of internal failure? There's no cracking or damage on the outside, and that's an expensive part I don't want to just throw at it.
I have also replaced cap twice with original gm parts and still this cap issue continues to be a pain in the a--. Has anyone had success with a brand other than gm or Delco to fix this issue??

Pretty obvious that you should look elsewhere for the leak. P0455 is not specifically the cap, just the most common cause.

Evap leak/ gas cap

The cap doesn't stay on. It doesn't close fully. The problem is definitely here at the gas cap. When I buy an oem cap it will make the engine light go out for about 2 weeks and then we start the cycle again. I thought maybe if anyone has had the same issue that there might be a brand that works. Oem doesn't seem to do it.

You have managed to distort the tube if the cap won't stay on. Might have been nice to lead with YOUR problem, totally unrelated to the thread you are trying to hijack. Moving relevant bits to a new thread.

I've had an aftermarket lock gas cap on mine since I got it in 2009. Never an issue.

Perhaps a smoke test will indicate where the leak is.

Then it’s the fuel neck that requires replacement
