Growling up front...
Well, that repair didn't last long... The SS is back in the shop again with the re-occuring P2138 touble code. This time they said they are going to try replacing the wiring harned between the pedal assembly and the ECM (engine control module). I have my fingers crossed, but have a feeling this will not be the last time it rears its ugly head...
They finally gave me a loaner this time as it has been in the shop since last Thurs. (4 days now) It is a 09 Impala LT1 with the 3.5V6. Nice riding car and gets 30 mpg on the highway no problem, but not anywhere near as fun to drive as my SS.
I did manage to put over 320 miles on it so far as I went north on a hunting weekend!

Over a week in the shop now, and they still haven't fixed the problem with the P2138 code. The new wiring harness they fabricated is still not solving the issue of the improper voltage readings in the circuit, so they have to go over it again on Monday. This is getting old...
I have put over 790 miles on the loaner now, so that is one positive way of looking at it... Keeping the miles down on my SS. I sure miss my lil' 5-spd. turbo though!

She's back!
According to the service record, they found a burned wire in the harness and relaced all of the leads between the throttle pedal assemble to the ECM. Looks like that was a total of 5 wires, but I do not know how many connectors.
Seemed like it took an awfully long time to do that, but obviously it was something they had not done before... There is a couple notes about calling TANS (which I am assuming is a technical assistance line) and they had mentioned there was a few of them out there like this. Hope this cures it, and that nobody else here has to go through this hassle!
