Hard to shift

So yesterday at lunch, my 08 SS 5speed decided to give me a workout everytime I need to shift. Doesn't matter what gear, I need to really give her hell to get her in gear. No crunching or grinding noises and clutch pedal is firm and takes up nicely. I have 46,xxx miles and have never had any transmission issues. No fluids appear leaking and I have fluid in the resevoir. I hope it's my linkage cables or cable clamp because that would give me an excuse to upgrade to a short shifter w/ a new cable clamp. Any other thoughts on potential issues and ways to further diagnose it before I start tearing into my interior? I don't think it's the clutch because of the smooth engagement. I don't think I feel any clutch slip either, feels nice and tight. I don't think it's syncros because there's no crunching or grinding noises. Throw out bearing and if so, how could I tell w/o taking my tranny off the engine? Thanks for any advice.

You can check the linkage at the shifter with help by viewing the pics at https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/ss-s...85/#post488631

Worn out throw-out bearings generally will make noises from what I recall (almost like a worn hub bearing) when the clutch is engaged - you would probably hear the noise if it was that.
