Has anyone ever had trouble after Seafoam?

Not sure if it was a bad batch of seafoam or if it was just a random happening. I put a can of seafoam in my 2010 LT one day and my dad told me to put a can in his '04 F150 the next. Well after running them both for about a week his truck started going dead and we foud out his $1,400 fuel pump went out. Two days after his messed up my CEL came on, i took mine to the dealership and after three weeks there they said I had three stuck valves, fuel injector was messed up and some more minor things. Could the Seafoam have done this??

I have used seafoam for many many year in the gas tank, and into the intake to a top engine cleaner. I got a CEL once with the wifes Mazda for a misfire, and it did run rough for a few minutes. Then it smoothed right out. I cleared the CEL and it never came back.

FUel pump could have been onit's way already. Stuck valve? Could have freed some crap and clogged an injector. But should have pushed it through.

How much fuel was in the tank when you added the seafoam? And how much seafoam did you use?

I seafoamed...but only through the intake. I didn't put it in my gas tank. After I did that....I changed the spark plugs as well.

I used Seafoam in the tank. I had no issues after and saw no improvements either. I use Marvel Mysteyr Oil in the tank perriodically also.

Gasoline turns over so rapidly these days, and there are detergent additives in nearly all brands. Dirt almost never gets into fuel tanks if you refuel at newer filling stations that do a high volume business. That makes separately sold fuel system additives of questionable value.
But then again - there are lots of rural areas where a Mom and Pop convenience store with gas pumps has been in business for the past 40 years and who the heck knows what gets pumped into your tank.....
