I have a 06 lt1 that came with the stock rearview mirror, map lites only, 7 pin connector, 3 wires on my harness.

I purchased a mirror that has compass, autodim map lites and a 16 pin connector that came from a 06 hhr. the new mirror did not come with a wiring harness at all.

both mirrors are MAGNA DONNELLY form holland michigan. I called them but no one answers the phone there (maddening).

does anyone here know the pin outs for both the 7 pin and 16 pin?

Would greatly appreciate any help i can get.

I really just wanted the compass and maplites but wouldnt mind if the autodim worked as well

Mine was the same and this is what i did: I found some guy on ebay selling old 16 pin wiring harness from cadillacs for $1.00 and moved some wires around and then matched it up like this:

pin 8 - is common (old wire from 7 pin)
pin 6 - is the wire from the previous mirror than read .25v (old wire from 7 pin)
pin 1 - is the 12v+ on all the time (old wire from 7 pin)
pin 13 - is the autodim/ compass 12v+ switched. (new wire ran from fuse box)
