Hello,
I have a 2011 HHR LT and the issue I'm having is with my headlights. When I hit my key fob to unlock my car my passenger head light comes on no issue, but as soon as I start the car the passenger light goes out and will not come on. The driver side has no issues staying on and my highbeams work just fine. The issue is just the passenger side not staying on. Anyh suggestions?

 

Probably need a new bulb. But check the appropriate fuse first(passenger low).

 

Could also be the headlight itself is toast, or the headlight bulb socket



They have been known to melt.

 

Note the curious purple wire in this schematic.

 

Yup sounds like you need a bulb on the passenger side. Unlocking the doors turns on the high beam elements in the bulbs. Sounds like your low beam element is burned out.
