Heated Seats (Light Blinks)

I am having a problem with my heated passenager seat. When no one is sitting in the seat the light comes on and the heater works. When someone is sitting in the seat the light blinks and the seat does not heat.

I did notice that when the Air Bag light is on the light blinks and it does not work. However as soon as the Air Bag light goes out the light no longer blinks......

Any Ideas ???????????? Thanks Lee

Definitely a trip to the dealer...but just to be on the safe side...you might want to re-check both fuse boxes to make sure they are seated properly.

Anyone else seeing problems with their seat heat? I had a brief occasion yesterday where both driver and passenger seat heat lights were flashing. After shutting the seat heat off, and turning it back on, everything functioned normally.

I'm sure it needs a new heating element. I havn't seen any go bad on HHR's yet but many many others. Take it to your dealer and they will most likely tell you it needs a heating element.

Heated seats are nice...but if I could find some that give a butt massage while you are going down the road like my brother-in-law's Beemer,I would buy some in a heartbeat.Sure cures the old numb-butt syndrome.

As much as I like taking my HHR to the dealer for warranty work EVERY MONTH, I'm going to hold out a bit. My dealer manages to make every problem a little bit worse, every time.

I'm collecting problems for them to fix all at once...

-rear chevy emblem chrome is flaking
-rear view mirror is loose and rattling
-rear bumper is loose and rattling
-stitching on front seats is pulling apart
-rattling in steering column/front suspension
-brake fluid warning flashed on the display briefly the other day

Don't even ask how much crap I've already had it in for... Loving my lemon.
