we got our hhr used so we only got one key
and had to tow the car this morning to the dealer
we will see what they say.

now the dealer says it has something to do with the automatic transmission
the lock on the gear has been recalled .. anyone hear about this

Not in regards to a dead battery or being jump started.

My shifter had to be replaced due to the key being stuck in the ignition.

just talk dealer he said they have problems with some
solenoid thing in gear shift , the dealer said 11,000 hhr had this problem so far ?

If you got your ride at a GM dealer, have him make your second key while you`re there.
One thought, can the HHR be put in neutral and start?
Never mind, went out to see, yes it can be started in neutral.
So next time this happens to someone, try the old "my car won`t start in park " method. It will save a tow.
