Help with HHR 06 ls

Having a few problems when stopping, wants to go dead on me. New battery, new spark plugs acts like a vacuum leak.

Could someone suggest fix for the rough idling and going dead at traffic lights, missing when trying to take off, will not go into passing gear, runs fine on the road just stop and go!
Thanks

So you had it checked. Is this because the Check Engine Light(CEL) was on?
If it was on, there should be an active code # or stored code that shows up with a scanner.
Be advised, that not all "parts places" are good at reading codes. Some just plug in a scanner and read it. You need one that can read the code AND decipher what it shows.
If possible, have it rescanned and post up any trouble codes here. We would love to help you if you can get the code numbers.
AND, be sure to get the actual code numbers that look like P0001,P0010, etc.
Getting just the description of a code does no good.

As far as a suggestion to what's wrong, it would be a waste to try and guess.
Way too many different things that could caused the problem you described.

I edited the email address out to save you a lot of grief from spammers. It is real bad policy to openly publish personal stuff like that.
