Help needed - Scanner code, locate camshaft position sensor

I used the CAN OBDll scanner and got codes P0010 and P0011 which said that I need to replace the camshaft position sensor. I ordered the part from Napa Auto and will receive it tomorrow. I would like to know where the camshaft position sensor is located. From what I have seen on the previous messages posted is for the intake and exhaust solenoids. Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes, but it shows the intake and exhaust cam solenoids. Is this the same as the camshaft position sensor?

If you are getting P0010 and p0011, then I would expect you will need to replace the
Camshaft Postition Actuator Solenoids -

From chevyMgr's listing of the various codes at https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/problems-service-repairs-42/list-diagnostic-trouble-codes-2008-2010-hhr-14259/ :

P0010 Intake Camshaft Position (CMP) Actuator Solenoid Control Circuit
and 0012 is for the Exhaust.

Snoopy's post has a pointer to the re and re process, including the part numbers/prices for my 2006.

Hope that helps man. Keep us posted

ps: if you are going to replace one of the solenoids, I'd recommend replacing them both - what the heck, they aren't that much $'s and why take it apart again for the other one down the road. Save the good one you pull out for a spare :)

Mostly, the thanks goes to Whopper. He provided the "how-to", I just pointed you in that direction.

I trust everything is running correctly!!!
