Help p0449

2006 2.2 changed the purge vent solenoid, MAF sensor, and Map sensor. Still having issues. Runs fine, then acts like its missing, loss of engine power. Had issue with speedometer lights for a moment. At a loss, and going broke. Could it be the charcoal canister solenoid, or maybe the ECM?

Since the title of P0449 is "EVAP Vent Solenoid Circuit" I would suggest looking at the EVAP vent solenoid. That is the one on the charcoal canister.

When buying the part be sure to specify 2006 since you will need a wiring adapter, some come with some are additional.

As to your other issues; too vague a description for any wild guess.

The Dorman part comes with the harness adapter or you can order the AC Delco piece and the harness adapter, in either case be sure to remove the seal from your old part and transfer it to the new part.

and don’t forget the discount code

Did you transfer the seal over from the old valve?

the new code might be a loose connector

It is not the same problem it is entirely different. P0449 is for the vent valve P0030 is for the O2 sensor.

The O2 sensors are on fuse #33 underhood, so I would check that, but there should be several other codes.

Got it. Turned out to be a bad coil pack. No more issues for now.
