Here i go again

After changing out my right front strut, i took the car for a test drive. I turned up a fairly steep driveway and the car seemed like something was slipping from the front end for a few seconds. Like the wheels hesitated then caught. My first thought was a CV axle. Also kind of made a sputtering noise. My wife said its happened to her at times while accelerating at a green light but not often. This 2009 LT with the 2.2 has 233,000 miles on it, but runs great otherwise. Im thinking it may be time for new CV axles. Any other thoughts.

Sputtering or slipping? At that mileage yes it could be the CV axles, not a hard job.

CV Axles

Thank you. Im leaning toward the axles as it has had a new flex pipe, new rotors pads and shoes, new struts, sway bar links. Im going to check the rear lower control arm bushings, and go over the entire front end tomorrow. I was also informed that CV axles can develop worn spots that will give it a noisy slip until they catch an car drives normally. It has never had major engine problems thank god. This LT must have never been taken care of by the previous owners. Thanks to your advice as well as donbrew's, i have tackled all problems with this car myself. Thank u for the input. Ill video the installation of the CV axles when i get them and put them in.
