upper dash "recall"

I use the term recall on this loosely, since they mailed the part to me. Got it in the mail yesterday. Not much to it. Simple piece that installs over the latch with two sided tape. Sorry no pics, don't think they would be helpful anyway. Not much to it.....

Anyone else?

Only thing really interesting in the "instructions" was, apparently there is an old and new style upper box. If you have the old style, you need this piece of molded plastic, if you have the new style, you don't. Personally, i don't see how this thing really helps. If the impact is that bad, it would probably fly right off IMO. But who knows. I'll put it on this weekend, I'll show pics before and after and see if anyone can tell anything....

I got mine before the holidays. It was a 30-second install. Only problem is it cuts down on the space in the bin. You can't really fit CDs in there now. What a waste of a recall. I've got brakes that don't work until I warm up the car, but now my storage bin is Fort Knox!

I got mine a week or so ago, but funny thing is I have 2 HHRs with the same storage box and only got 1 kit. I wonder which one it is for?
