battery dead, needed to push it out of the way, but with no power the shifter solonoid woud not work, so how do i bypass the shift lock?

 

You will have to get a battery jump start I had the same problum 2 weeks ago when my alternater had to be replaced.

 

It's almost 1 am here. I actually went out to look. I'm shocked most cars I've owned that are autos have had a lock release button hidden somewhere around the shifter. Couldn't find one on our hhrs. I'm curious if there is a method to bypass the shift lock.
