How do I shut off the alarm?

Both of my key fobs are broken (soldering them didn't work) and now every time I unlock my doors the alarm goes off. I looked for the fuse but it's not in either of the fuse boxes. How can I fix this until I can get new key fobs?

If you lock the door with the key, the alarm wont go off when you open it with the key.

Plus...If you lock the door from the drivers door switch and unlock it with the key the alarm will go off.

Do not lock the drivers door with the switch.. Check with the dealer to see if they can disable the lock system.

Look, every time you put the car in park all the doors unlock. So you are saying I have to manually lock all four doors? If this is the only way to keep the alarm from going off some one in the Chevrolet Design Team should be fired

Set your doors in the DIC with your key only on to drivers door only in park.

Now when you park your HHR only your drivers door will open.

When you get out of the HHR lock the drivers door with the key.

Then when you open the drivers door with the key the alarm will not go off.

Check your drivers manual for the door lock options in the DIC information.

This how I had to lock a rental that the FOB did not work in, after I woke the motel complex one morning. I posted this information one time in this forum over a year ago.

Bought three FOB's on ebay for $10 a piece(dealership wanted $80 a piece). Now it's going to cost $50 to have the dealership program them

Is the dealer necessary when it comes to programming lets say a kef fob for a 2008 HHR?
What about coded keys. I only have one set of key(s) and a fob with mine. I would like at least another.
80 or even 50 bucks is a bit steep.
