to chevyhhr.net...where you can find anything HHR...and then some.

You might want to try Prestone Interior Cleaner. I got some from Walmart for less than $4.00 a can and it works great on many stains. Can't guarantee it will work for crayons...but good thing to have around for lots of other stains.

The info that was here was a bad idea, so it has been removed.

Easiest way to get out crayon? Take a paper towel, place it over the crayon and get out your iron. You know, those archaic things that housewives used to use on shirts before there were these new fangled wrinkle free ones. Works every time. Same thing goes with a candle wax spill on carpet.

Just talked to my boyfriend who has detailed cars for 30+ years and he agrees 100% with Joker.

Now...where is that friggin iron? If not available...a curling iron might also work.

This is the easiest way to get crayon out. It also works well on carpet, with spilled candle wax.

I wish I would have known that a couple of weeks ago when my old daughter got crayon on one of our sofas. I had to use the WD-40 method.

Btw, the steps that Deb posted above mentioned using a hair dryer to soften up the crayon. Worst. Idea. Ever. It does heat up the crayon and softens it, but if you overdo it, it will push the crayon farther into the fibers from the airflow making it even harder to get out later.

I am going to retract that suggestion that I found...as I see there are many other ways to do it that are much easier and safer. Thanks Joker.
