I feel that I almost got scammed in a way...

I own a 2009 HHR SS... And my head unit does not have the USB port.. Why is this? On chevy's website, it says that all 2009 HHR SS' come standard with an " AM/FM Stereo with CD Player and MP3 Playback w/USB Port"

If these headunits come standard with the headunit... Why don't I have mine?

I also have the Pioneer sound system aswell...

Any input on this?

Edit: Is there any way only the new(er) 2009s have this USB feature...? I'd really like to have it =[

I think the web site has a disclaimer on the information they provide. I see some with a USB and some without. No apparent reason either way.

Arg.... That's horrible... I just dumped 1300$ into some subs, and don't want to spend more into a new head unit... Hopefully aux will be enough.

I had mine (2009 SS) built in June of 2008 and mine does not have the USB either. I do not think the first ones of the line had them for some reason.

If someone out there would like to swap radios I would be all over that. I have many jump drives that I could use for music.

My 09 has the usb, but half the time the device doesn't connect. Might as well not have it. You never know if you're going to be able to listen to your music or not.

true. but it is better to have the option of both the USB and aux than just the aux. I have my MP3 player plugged into the aux, and the sound quality SUCKS i have to have the volume on the player most of the way up and the radio pretty high too.
