Impala, not HHR compass reset

I finally got a new job after being out of work for 15 months!!
Part of the new job included getting a company car (09 Impala). It is a hand-me-down from another salesman, but not a bad car. Of coarse the owners manual is gone and the compass is off. Going through the DIC menu I found "region" and "compass calibration", but have no idea of what to do.

Although not an HHR, I thought some of you Chevy guys might just know how to do this?

Any ideas?

My Chevy pickup and my Olds Bravada has the same mirror and compass calibration proceedure. If the Impala is the same, once in compass calibration mode, drive the vehicle in a complete 360 degree circle three times at a speed less than 5 mph and the compass will function normally. Once the calibration is complete, the display will return to a compass reading. I have done this in parking lots and witnesses think I'm crazy, but my compass works.

Yep, that's the routine! And yes, even though I was way out at thet far end of a parking lot with nobody around close, people stopped and stared at me like I was crazy. I was just waiting for that cop to show up and pull me over
