Install metal inside door handle

My drivers door handle broke at the top hinge pin location.
Handle did still open the door because the bottom part was intact.
Brought a metal replacement:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/273181037715?ul_noapp=true

Everything fit well.
The E-clip for the metal hinge pin is a project to clip on.
They give you two and I lost both. I did this repair without taking the panel off and working on a bench.
Since the pin installs from the top down I just put a dab of 3M weatherstrip adhesive on the top, just because.
I could have saved the OEM hinge pin and reused it but didn't, who knew.

Feel more comfortable pulling on a metal handle instead of plastic.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the install write up, I’m sure this will come in handy for many as our trucklets get on in years .

After I lost the E-clip I decided gravity has been doing it's job for a long time now and will probably continue for a few years.

Exactly my thoughts.
If I end up on my roof I'm in Doo-Doo.
Oh buy the way. After I put everything back together on the black asphalt driveway I found one of the clips I lost.
