The Key Won't Turn Problem

my wife and I went out shopping this past Sunday and we experienced the "Key will not turn problem". Thanks to this site, I went home, pulled in the driveway and pulled the fuel pump fuse to shut the car off. Car is out of warranty, took it to the dealer on monday and they fixed it under warrany with just a 100.00 dollar deductible. I thought that was great for my dealer to do that. Thanks to this site for the information !

I would be asking for my $100 back. The repairs are qualified under special coverage and in the letter I received it states "THE CONDITION WILL BE REPAIRED FOR YOU AT NO CHARGE" and I have an 08

@TyroneMD, please, send me the VIN of your HHR. I would like to research your VIN for the special coverage that is going on. If your VIN is in this program, you will want to file a reimbursement form for the $100.00 you paid.

Thanks !

Again, I would like to thank the people on the Chevy HHR Network. I contacted GM who contacted my local dealer and also my local GM rep and they are in the process of refunding my 100.00. These type of sites are invaluable to GM owners. Thank You !

Awsome news. Glad you didn't have any issues with the refund.

Michelle, once again I see you helping someone out on this site and just want to thank you for being a cool chick who is willing to help out us Chevy owners. Hopefully, I'll never need to contact you for issues with my local dealer.

Just had mine fixed today in the SS...

Called the dealer, they got it in, changed it out and was back on the road in a couple hours.

I really like this dealership a lot...it's well out of my way, but I go there anyway due to their customer service.
