Keyless entry

I searched but didn't find exactly the issue I'm having. My keyless entry is having an intermittent problem, I push the unlock or lock & sometimes get nothing. Other times it works fine and I'm not getting any message on the dash about low battery in my fob or anything. Dealer said that 9 times out of ten, it's not the fob, of course it worked just fine when I stopped at the dealership. Any suggestions or similar problems? Thanks everyone in advance.

I'm not finding a link to the how section?! Seems like that would be a key link on most pages.

Ah, here it is- https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-tutorial-library-21/keyfob-cold-solder-repair-22641/
Thanks much. Next question, if I pull out the battery, I don't have to reprogram or anything do I?

I don't know about 2009, I'd be more worried about the radio. The fob is matched to the BCM, so I think backup memory/power would keep the programming. I am over my head here. I believe that one of those 9-volt battery adapters that plug into the cig lighter would make the Question moot.

I think Silver was taking about removing the battery in the FOB, not the vehicle's battery. If so no problem. Some of the older vehicles have had a problem with the remote receiver module in the vehicle or BCM loosing programming with total power loss in the vehicle.

Yes, that's what I meant. I have an '08, I wasn't sure. Thanks!
