Can that be checked with something like DashCommand or Torque? Or should I check with a multimeter? I have both.

Scan for stored codes, eyeball the wires.

Look at the bundle of wires that runs next to the EVAP bracket.

If the throttle body has never been cleaned the build up can affect the butterfly.

The MAF could need cleaning; use cleaner labelled for MAF.

Ok I finally got to ride in the car on a longer distance trip. It doesn't look to be the idle to me. The noise doesn't present itself until speeds after 3rd gear, and it's pretty damn loud. But idle going up and down doesn't affect it. I want to say it sounds like an exhaust leak

Yep, flex pipe!! Is the CEL on?

Your info says you have a 2.0 2007 LT.
The 2.0 didn't show up until the SS in 2008
Please verify which engine y'all have and is your car an automatic or manual transmission.
We can then recommend a repair or replacement part.

I'm confused.
Post #1 talks about help for an idling issue. Now at post #14 there's no idle problem but a noise ?
Not accusing anyone, but it almost sounds like 2 different people posting under member Jeremy McCaffity account.

No it's the same person. And before I got to personally drive it it seemed to not be coming down on the idle. Now I watched the gauges and listened while she drove it, and the noise and idle didn't match up. What purpose would be had sharing an account on here...?

But the cat just did get replaced so I hope the guy didn't screw anything up.

Oh and no CEL

Several have described the flex pipe that way. I don't know why.

If only the cat was replaced that also answers my earlier question about point of failure. A basic failure to diagnose.

I'll have to look. I bought the magnaflow 1 piece thing. Not sure if that comes with the flex pipe. Though now that I think about it, it didn't make the noise before
