Question Light for PNDL Shifter position on and off

Help.
The light that illuminates the shifters position when the lights are on, especially in evenings/after dark, is working sometimes, sometimes not.
I know its a poor connection somewhere, but WHERE ??? Is it behind the radio ? Under the console ? I would like to know if anyone knows where the plug is for this lamp. Lamp works but going down a rough road will disable it, or enable it again depending weather it was on or off at the time. I don't want to tear apart areas for no reason looking for the connection. Any help is sincerely appreciated.

The chrome bezel around the shifter just pops off. Then you can see the bulb.

Thank You all for the suggestions. Nasty weather today and tomorrow here, but will dive into it by this weekend. Hopefully just a loose ground, that might also get my radio working properly also, which has volume control issue, can barely hear it although all speakers are working.
