Hello got a 2007 hhr and had my timing chain done 90,000 miles ago so I’m getting a dread P0016 code which I feel the tensioner went bad causing it to skip a tooth ..granted the car has 260000 on it .. so the banlance chain was done at 230000 .. the car starts on a dime and runs great .. but should I get it fixed or let it ride the course? I’m on a fix income and I can’t put out 1300$ .. so if there a mechanic to help me out I live on the south side of Chicago .. I can only trust a person that has done this job before .. so if anybody wants To make side money please pm .. I will buy the parts and fair labor .. thank you
