lost communications

lost communications

HI to all ,trany shifting bad , TCS lite on , went to parts store and they found 1 code , lost communications with transmission control system ,( module ) that sounds like a loose or broken wire ,anyone else been thru this or have any ideas , Thanks for your help

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, see if that works.

HI , It's an 07 , 2.2 L. U2106 , was the number, and they cleared it and the motor light hasn't come back on yet ,but the TC light has never gone off , I had the battery disconected for 15 or 20 mins , 3 or 4 times in the last 3 days ,

Hi to all , went to mech. he said TCM not talking to the rest of them, the rest are all talking to each other . he said I have to go to Dealer , around $400.00 does that sound rite ? do you think this will be covered on the 5yr /100,000 , cant realy work the drive train without it , thanks.

TCM is covered by the 8/80 emission control warranty and the 5/100 power train warranty.

Communication Found

HI to all ,The dealer had the car for 3 days , they replaced the TCM under warrenty and so far everything is fine , drove a 100 miles to make sure , hope it dont come back ,Thanks .
