Lumbar Motor Replacement

Folks, what's the story on the driver's power lumbar motor? (see attached pictures) Mine is weak and needs replaced. I scoured online through various GM Parts websites. It appears that the motor is sold as part of the complete lumbar assembly (part #20883324). However, it shows discontinued. But I don't actually need the whole assembly. I just need the motor. Does anyone know where to buy just a replacement motor?

Thanks for that tip!

After hunting the web a little, the Denso part number (401009-0011) appears to have been used in several Toyota lumbars too. I'm going to dig a little on that to see if Toyota sells them.

But not SS’s ! This motor might also be in a 2LT with power lumbar or a Saab or Saturn product.

Quick update...

The case is closed. You cannot get the part from GM. Furthermore, they only sold it as a complete lumbar assembly, not just the motor. It runs around $500 on several GM parts websites, but shows "discontinued." However, I learned that the Denso motor is used in some Toyotas. I called some Toyota dealers to inquire. Since it was unclear which Toyotas used it, I was stabbing around in the dark, with some vague Google hints about what cars may have used it. Toyota dealers were telling me it was available, but couldn't say if it was the motor or the entire assembly, since their database was undescriptive. But their pricing was round $400-500, which insinuates it may be the whole assembly. When the dust all settled, I searched the Denso number (shown in my previous images) on eBay and found a seller that had a handful of them from junkyard picks. In case anyone is wondering, their user name is: rautopartsinc-2010. I bought the used motor for about $30. I installed it (that was a chore, having to take the seat covering off) and it works great!

Once again the advice from those here was ignored.
You were asked to contact 'hellshotrod' a member on this site.
I have on many occasions and purchased the parts needed, some parts was just pay shipping.
You made no mention of even trying to contact him, instead you searched ebay.
And believe me this man knows these HHR's and could have fixed you up.
why are issues ever reported if advice is ignored.

Chill out my friend. How do you know who I contacted or didn't contact? Furthermore, is it possible I may have contacted some folks and was ghosted? I get ghosted on forums all the time when I send private messages to members who are no longer active.

If "hellshotrod's" source of existence on this planet is predicated upon HHR forum member contacts for parts, I'm sorry for ruining their day. But otherwise, I quickly uncovered what I needed at an online market and thus bought it.

My friend, please take your scorn elsewhere. The problem is solved and no one was harmed.

Thread closed. He pointed out that you did not acknowledge sending hellshotrod a PM , as I mentioned earlier.
David is a great source for information and parts , he has a lot of HHR’s he parts out , rebuilds and drives, he doesn’t mean to ghost you, he’s just very busy.
