Moog Sway End Link problems
I have uploaded pictures of what the links look like right now. I didn't get a chance to take them off because the floor jack I got isn't tall enough to lift the vehicle up completely and I didn't feel like fooling with another jack tonight.
So I left the pictures their original size so you can see the detail. What you are seeing is the last result. They were wiped clean and grease applied until the boot swelled a little and that was it. I tried turning the zerks and both are completely tight now, but you can see how much grease there is..the dark one is the factory and the lighter color is the one I applied. From being completely clean prior to driving and then looking like this after driving, I think that's a little odd.
I check the passenger side as well and it has grease coming out too. I didn't take that wheel off yet though to get a better look.
EDIT: Well I can't get the size I want so I am just putting this up.

Stryker-
Great that yer zerk fittings are tight !!!! Very Cool..
What kind of grease did you use ? It does look like the 2 different greases are not compatable. Causing an almost soupy mess.
I would get a good Hi-quality grease & just pump each joint till ya see the New color coming out & clean all the Excess off. Even squeeze the boots by hand to milk out every last bit of the old grease. & clean things up.. You have Good parts....Just need a good grease & stick to that brand..
This process may take a couple/few times of cleaning after miles.. But you will get ahead of it..
I see no other options at this point..
I only use Green-Grease* brand, which is at the auto parts & is full synthetic & compatable with other greases,..

Well O'Rilley's didn't have Mobile 1 or Green Grease(I had went there for the replacement grease fittings because their website showed they carried the moogs, turns out they can order them, but didn't have them in stock) So I went to Advance Auto and they didn't have Mobile 1 or anything else.
All they had was Green Grease and it was the big tube, so I had to buy another gun as well, since my gun was the small one(which made it hard to grease while on the vehicle anyway, and I figure I will at least do it a few times over the life of the vehicle)
Long story short I will take the links completely off tomorrow, clean them and then grease them before I put them back on. This way I can make sure everything is good before I ever head down the road. Then if its still not looking right then I can at least take the links somewhere and have someone look at them without having the mechanic take time jacking the car up, taking the tires off, etc.

The Green Grease* is some Excellent grease.. As you will see..
I guess you had one of those mini-guns.. You'll get used to the normal sized grease gun.. I have 3 guns, for different applications. But I have the 'one hand' pump guns.. Makes my life easier..
Sounds like you are getting things sorted out..
Keep us posted.. & don't keep taking out the zerks.. Once they cut in they should be left alone then...

Got the link off, tested the resistance on the zerk and if fell out...got it cleaned up, cleaned out the inside so I could look at the threads, and they are shot.
Try to reinsert the zerk now and it goes it without any twisting. There are threads on the fitting itself, but the inside of the link has no distinct threads anymore.
Ask the guy at the parts store if what I could do and he said he would have to replace the whole link. He said I could try tapping it but the metal shavings would get inside and be hard to get out.
So I don't know what to do at this point. I purchased them from Rockauto, but I am sure they aren't going to do anything, and I haven't been able to find any end links on Moog's actual website.
I guess I will put one of the old ones back on so I can drive it to work this weekend. Hippy freaking yay.

I inspected the old links and as I suspected the driver side link's rubber boot was completely busted(that's were most of the noise seemed to originate). The passenger side wasn't as bad.
So I put the good Moog on the driver side and then re-installed the old factory link on the passenger side.
I will take a pic of the moog that's bad tomorrow. I need to sleep now to get ready for my night shift, so I am done for the day.
