My AC stopped blowing completely even on the heater setting I can feel the cold air but it's not blowing anything. at first when you turn the ignition on there's like a thumping from the glove box but the air conditioner so would work however it has stopped now but the clicking still comes when I go from the setting of the outside air to the inside air. I was told it could possibly be my blower anybody can help me with this could this be it and how hard is it to do myself I have a 2002 Chevy HHR my first car I bought with the money I made for my first job. Yay me

 

Ahhh the ever rare 2002 HHR. Please verify what year you are talking about.

Try checking the cabin air filter, which is accessible thru the glovebox - and see if there is any damage to the filter or a mess of leaves/squirrel nets etc. there.

I assume you have already checked the fuse for the fan motor to ensue it is not blown.

Otherwise you could be having a problem with the controls, the fan motor or the resistor for the fan.

Testing the system involves the use of a volt/ohm meter - do you have one, and do you know how to use it to check if power is getting to the fan?
