Pictures of the junk inside the radiator

Here is sum of the "gunk" that was inside my radiator.... to me, upon further inspection.. it looks more like a mashed up gasket, there are even big junks of gasket like material mixed in, its very brittle so I'm assuming its not plastic.

and to top it all off, my kids thought it would be funny to make a picture of my poor HHR.... made it look like a lemon... it did put a smile on my face though... kids will do the craziest things....lol

I betcha I know what kind of cars your kids will be buying when they grow up, and it won't be GM products.

actually my kids love the HHR... this is the car my daughter will be driving in 1 1/2 years when she turns 15... she actually picked it out... I was planing on buying the new camero next year as a replacment car for me but with the customer service I've been getting from GM , I'm starting to lean towards another manufacturer...

well the lasted update is... I went ahead and hired a attorney. I really had hoped that GM would do the right thing but I guess they chose not to. He is going to file a law suit on monday. here are the lastest photos of the radiator when they took it apart... sorry for the bad pictures but they were taken from my cell phone.

I DONT blame you!

I would not want to be stuck with a car like that, even if they did fix it. There is so much internal damage that has been caused because of this, that will cause years of trouble down the road.

I just feel bad for anyone who may buy the car in the future. I hope they know what they will be getting...

Good for you! You need to start looking for that SS you've been wanting.

Whatever happened with your Lemon Law filing?? I thought you could do that by yourself and it went to an arbitrator who heard the case and decided the outcome.

Anyone who goes in front of ANY arbitrator without an attorney is just asking to lose. The other side will have an attorney advocating for them, so you might as well have one for yourself.

This is true, but the arbitrators usually work for the Manufacturer.

That was my thought exactly. I was geting alittle worried about the arbitration, I recieved a letter from the Texas Motor Vehicle divsion , they informed me that the process has started and to be expecting a call/ letter stating when the meeting will take place. I figuared since GM has been a butt about the whole thing the least they can do is spend a couple of more thousand dollars from the bail out that came out of our pockets to pay for the attorney fees that shouldnt have to be paid if they would have just done the right thing at the beginning .... hell even in the middle would have been fine with me...lol Its at a point that I am sooooo fustrated about the whole thing I might as well pass it along to the attorney... I have been having problems with this car since day one... have i shyed away from wanting another hhr..... no... I love the body lines and contour of the hrr... its small but feels big. It will be a great first time car for my daughter when she starts driving next year... that is if I get one that works properly.
