Unhappy No Power From Cigarette Lighter

The other day while removing my cell phone car charger from the cigarette lighter, the charger broke and came apart. I bought a new charger and noticed it was not drawing power. I tested the charger on the other cigarette lighter in the back and it works. So I am assuming that somehow the cigarette lighter receptacle got damaged. I intend to replace the receptacle. While researching which part to buy, I'm getting 2 different part numbers. I have a 2006 HHR LT2. What is the correct part number? Where can I find the correct info? Some sites point me to one direction and one to another. Is there something else I should look into before proceeding to replace the receptacle? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you check the fuse? Ie: fuse 29, in the fuse box in the engine compartment.

When you mention possible parts that you were looking at, would it not be a good idea to post a link to them?

You most likely came up with 2 different part numbers because there were 2 different sockets offered.
One was the cigarette lighter socket which came with the Smokers Package option.
The second would just be a power outlet socket that would have the rubber cap on the socket.

The one "in the back" is not a cigarette lighter. It is an aux.power outlet

They are on separate fuses.

When the charger broke it probably shorted and blew the fuse.

That one shows up as the one in the floor console.

Here is the one that shows as the one in the dash. RECEPTACLE. Cigarette. Cigarette Lighter for 2006 Chevrolet HHR. #25776667

Are they interchangeable? I sure don't know.

Randy. Guess it would depend on which one you had in front. There were 2 options. A regular power outlet(not sure if it's the same as the rear console outlet). Or the cigarette lighter outlet that came with the Smokers Package option.

the power outlets come with a cover, If you put a lighter in it things will melt. and there is no retainer spring in them.

My 2008 and 2011 LTs had outlets front and rear.

The plastic pieces seem to be separate parts, using the same socket.
